Throughout March, Savvy Ladies, a not for profit which promotes financial literacy, is teaming up with Transamerica to talk about the women each of us admires, and why, in the #womenwhoinspire social media campaign.
For every tag, @transamerica will donate $1 to @SavvyLadies.
So, let me start by saying I am inspired by Vice President Kamala Harris.
Vice President Harris made history when she became the first woman, the first Black person, and the first person of South Asian descent to be elected vice president of the United States.
And she is also clearly a beloved and admired “stepmom” and wife to the Second Gentleman, Douglas Emhoff.
Her words after being elected say it all:
“While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last, because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”
