Women’s History Month: #womenwhoinspire

Please join me in celebrating Women’s History Month in a very special way.

Throughout March, Savvy Ladies, a not for profit which promotes financial literacy, is teaming up with Transamerica to talk about the women each of us admires, and why, in the #womenwhoinspire social media campaign.

For every tag, @transamerica will donate $1 to @SavvyLadies.

So, let me start by saying I am inspired by Vice President Kamala Harris.

Vice President Harris made history when she became the first woman, the first Black person, and the first person of South Asian descent to be elected vice president of the United States.

And she is also clearly a beloved and admired “stepmom” and wife to the Second Gentleman, Douglas Emhoff.

Her words after being elected say it all:

“While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last, because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.”

So-who inspires you?

Feel free to copy and paste any of this (please be sure to use #womenwhoinspire and @Transamerica and @SavvyLadies) and share on your social media to raise money for women’s financial literacy!

Our goal is to involve 100,000 women in the month of March and make a little history of our own!
